leider besteht aktuell ein Lieferengpass für das Medikament Emtricitabin/Tenofovirdisoproxil, das sowohl für die HIV-PrEP als auch für die HIV-Therapie eingesetzt wird. Anders als bisher erwartet, wird dieser Lieferengpass voraussichtlich noch mindestens bis in den März hinein andauern.

Aus diesem Grund werden sich Unterbrechungen der HIV-PrEP in vielen Fällen nicht vermeiden lassen. Weichen Sie in diesem Fall auf andere HIV-Präventionsmethoden (Kondombenutzung, Schutz durch Therapie) aus.  Männer, die mit Männern Sex haben, können auch auf eine anlassbezogene Einnahme wechseln. Falls Sie dazu Fragen haben, kontaktieren Sie uns gern.

Menschen mit HIV können wenn nötig auf eine gleichwertige Alternativtherapie umgestellt werden.

Unfortunately, there is currently a supply shortage for the drug emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil, which is used for both HIV PrEP and HIV therapy. Contrary to previous expectations, this supply shortage is expected to last at least until March.

For this reason, interruptions to HIV-PrEP will be unavoidable in many cases. In this case, switch to other HIV prevention methods (condom use, treatment as prevention). Men who have sex with men can also switch to event-driven PrEP. If you have any questions about this, please contact us.

People with HIV can be switched to an equivalent alternative therapy if necessary.
